So, I’ve been working on a strongly stylised art direction for a long time on Men in Black, and during that time I ended up watching and reading pretty much everything related to the franchise. I’ve always loved the pistols and gadgets in the films, they’re so iconic, and they inspired me to sculpt one myself.
Here’s the reference from the film book, along with the sculpt I created.

And since we’re talking about pistols — I’ve also been working on my mini video game lately, and for that project I needed a low-poly, hand-painted version of a classic western legend: the Colt Peacemaker.
I just wanted to show how the same subject can be approached in completely different ways in 3D. One is a high-poly, fully sculpted piece, and the other is a low-poly, modeled-and-hand-painted asset.
